Gossip Day 2

Why do so many of us love it? Some of us can't wait to go to work and find out what so and so did. Right? Find out what's new with this star and who's marriage is breaking up. The list could go on and on. When we jump into the pool of gossip we are no better than the one spreading it. (whether it be true or false) Gossip can be very hurtful to the person your talking about as well as yourself. Why do I say this? Because it's true! Think of a time you were talked about (true or false) I'm sure you were hurt and felt betrayed by the person you work with, (you love) such as a friend or family member.
In the Bible Proverbs says ~ Lying ("false testimony) is vicious. Its effects can be as permanent as those of a stab wound. The next time you are tempted to pass on a bit of gossip, imagine yourself stabbing the victim of your remarks with a sword. This image may shock you into silence..
How does it hurt us? You can end up losing friends and family members trust.  Why on earth would you ever trust someone who has diarrhea of the mouth?? When we realize that the gossip were spreading (whether it be intentional or not)~ Causes pain to all involved. Remember; It may be nothing to you but very painful to the person your spreading it about & that being said ~ think about if it were you and how you would feel. Try your best to bite your tongue when it comes to gossiping. I promise you will be on your way to a healthier path..
