When life seems unbearable~ how do you react? I believe it's easy to give into our fears , anger and sadness then it is to see the light at the end of the tunnel. We are thrown so many curve balls throughout our lives and ultimately wonder how long is this going to last? I don't have an answer for that but I do have some insight advice on this; as I myself have gone through many tragedies, addictions, illness and loss myself.
It has not been easy~ but I have been renewed each day by God's love and strength. I am telling you this because it is true. For many years I walked a path of denial and self pity at times for some of the things that I encountered in my life. It's not easy when tragedy hits us but it's up to us how we handle it.
My Sister this morning let me know how she had watched" Old Yeller" with her daughter yesterday afternoon and the message at that end of the movie. It really sheds light on some things we go through and don't always understand or can even grasp at the moment.
It's a movie about a dog and one familes journey with this dog they call Yeller. I am urging you to watch this as it may shed some light on your life and give you a better perspective on the bigger picture.
The boy in the movie faces his own difficult tragedy~ not to give it away..
At the end of the movie the father says to his son~ What I'm trying to say is life's like that sometimes. Now and then, for no good reason a man can figure out, life will just haul off and knock him flat, slam him against the ground so hard it seems like all his insides busted out. But it's not all like that. A lot of its mighty fine. And you can't afford to miss the good part frettin' about the bad. That makes it all bad. Start lookin' around for something good to replace the bad. Generally you can find it!
