Confronting Change Day 4

As we move forward with today's blog, I want you to know the degree of what true change brings to your life by using myself as an example. I have had times in my own life that I needed for someone to tell me about myself, usually it was my Mom or a family member. Funny, but  deep down inside I knew I needed to change!
Here we go...
There was a time in my life that I had been partying and using drugs. I made excuses for my partying and drug use.  Not many people know this about me. I am not proud to admit it, but it's true and the truth shall set you free they say..  I smoked cigarettes, dabbled in cocaine use & drank. At first I got very defensive and tried to rationalize it as being part of "the job" but soon there after; the partying carried onto the weekends. "The superficial life" and trying to keep up with others just was painfully stupid.  I haven't touched cocaine in 18 years, I stopped smoking and rarely drink now. It wasn't like I woke up one day and it was all over~ I had to make the choice to live life and change. My life is so much better now than I ever thought it could be. The key word is CHANGE and once you do it, you can begin to feel free of whatever it may be that's keeping you from enjoying life. Free yourself from the strongholds and choose life. When we continue to go around the same mountain nothing changes and they call this madness. I agree 100%.
Is it not easier to be superficial? I believe not! Don't let your life be a plateau of superficial madness..
In reality, it is only when honest feelings and emotions are shared that real people can be known, loved, healed, and helped..
