The basic definition of procrastination is putting off doing something that could be now until a later date and time. What makes this "procrastination" is that we usually put off essential tasks. Why we put off tasks is the focus of our problem!
There are many theories behind our tendency to procrastinate.
^ We're afraid we'll fail.
^ We're afraid we'll succeed.
^ We're afraid we don't have the right skills.
^We're afraid we'll miss out on something more pleasurable.
Ask ten people why the procrastinate and you will probably get ten different reasons. However, there is really one main reason behind our procrastination....
Whatever task we're avoiding is causing us some measure of pain!!
